About the hotel
Why not stay at the hotel which our customers have described as having 'The Best View In The Bay'? Step back in time and relax in our tradtional scottish family run hotel.
We have been awarded the FHG Diploma for 'Holiday Accomodation of the Highest Standard'.
The Donn famiy welcomes you to their home and small family hotel. The rooms are cosy and individually decorated in a traditional style in keeping with the 100 year old building.
Rooms to the front have magnificant views over Oban bay. The hotel is ideal for ferry, train and bus travellers due to its location,. However we do not have a car park, the nearest pay and display car park is behind the hotel.
If you plan to visit the islands during your stay, we will provide a full cooked breakfast at 7.00am to allow you to catch the early boat if you wish.
If you wish to bring your pet on holiday they will be made very welcome, although they must be supervised at all times.
Golf, fishing, horse-riding, sailing and swimming are all available within a short distance.
Please note that as the hotel has a pets welcome policy it may not be suitable for people with pet alergies.
There is a central feature staircase in the hotel (and no lift), however the lowest bedrooms are on the second floor.
Most rooms are currently non smoking and from 26th March 2006 it will be illegal to smoke in enclosed public areas including hotels.
As a small family run hotel we hope that your stay with us will feel more like a home from home rather than just a hotel as it has been our home for 28 years.

Please note: to qualify for discounted rates payment must be made at time of booking otherwise rack rates apply. the main contact must be the card holder and provide the same address that the card is registered to.
We would suggest that customers take out travel insurance as cancelation in beach of policy applies to all bookings.
Due to rising costs credit card payments will only be accepted when an addition 3% surcharge is made to the total bill. There will be no surcharge for debit card paments.

Getting there
The hotel is situated on Oban's main street which is the main road from Glasgow, Perth etc. There are two sets of traffic lights on George Street, the door to the hotel is just before the second set, next to the Royal Bank of Scotland.
No residential Parking available.
For customers arriving by bus, train or ferry, please walk along the water front with the water to your left. The hotel is opposite the bay located between the railway and north piers approximately 2 minutes walk from the stations.
